Ok, I've been considering some different pets aside from the common Hamster, Guinea Pig, Rabbit, Dog, Cat, Bird crap. I'm considering a sort of snake or a tarantula, and I was curious if anyone here owns either, or if you know of someone who does? I'm not really entirely sure what all they'd need and stuff, and risks and dangers of them, and that thing, so any advice would be appreciated.

I think I've had every pet known to mankind. except a chinchilla or an alpaca.

I've have/ had:

- Dogs - Horses - Mice - Squirrels - Turtles - Hermit Crabs - Iguana - Cats - Hamsters - Birds - Bunnies

I've ALWAYS wanted a corn snake. Their freaking gorgeous and really sweet, their constrictors, so they don't bite. They do eat pinkies though. Here's a piccy: Egguttata2.jpg

Get a trap hole spider(real name unknown).I had one and it was awsome watching it eat crickets. Then my mom said she can't have a spider in the house and we took it somewhere, dropped it off,and then my mom ran over it by accident....at least I think.

Get a cat. If you get a good one it will keep your house/yard free of mice and moles. They eat when they want, and you don't have to walk them, change their cage, or clean up after them. Just take them once a year to the vet.

A friend of mine has a Tarantula, forget what species, and sez they take very little care. He keps it in a 10 gallon aquarium, had a wetspounge thing for water...they need very little, and feeds it crickets. Has a few items for decoration, and 1 for the Tarantula to use as a shelter. He made a cover with small holes for air, and keeps a brick on top so the spider can't push it up enough to get out. That's bout' all I know about em', but he did a google search after he got it and said he found alotta info about how often they molt...agressiveness of different species, ect. :smokin:

lol, I have no room for a mini-horse. I was reading on Wikipedia on Tarantulas and I don't like that thing about the flicking the hairs. I don't want crap thats gonna make my eyes and lungs burn. I believe a better question to ask, is how much is a Tarantula and a Corn Snake?

Tarantula I think wouldn't be that much, but a Corn snake, I'm thinking 3-4 hundred dollars.

Buy a budgie and leave it with me for a few months, I guarantee you that it won't be the 'same old crap'... I only wished that I'd filmed the time mine dived head-first into a packet of crisps.
