im not really sure to be honest.. i mean we can cure diseases pretty well now adays and coming up with a new cure for things all the time (thouhg noone wants to admit it >.>....). as for global warming... im not sure.. i mean sure the polar ice caps are melting causeing the water to rise BUT at the same time the suns increasing heat is also evaporating the water. so its kinda a toss up on that one.... as for wars... people will evolve to adapt to the ratiation..i mean..comeon.. who doesnt ned an extra hand every now and then right?.. as for how i think the world will end im not going FULLY by the bible either on that one.. but i think that the earth will crack do to over population sooo.... everyone..okay.. maybe not EVERYONE..but alot of people..... will have to go live on jupiter (its a million times bigger then the earth...if i remember correctly.....) so theres more then enough space for people there... imho.... therefore, even when the world ends, we will all still have somewhere to go...

I firmly believe that the Earth will one day pass a stop sign and become involved in a 30,000kph collision with another planet which wasn't looking where it was going. Planet X's owners will sue Planet Earth's owners, and the insurance and legal costs will be so great that the Powers that Be will simply declare it a write-off and buy a new planet, and we shall perish as a result. Meanwhile, the small but growing population of flying squirrels will be able to emigrate and start a new life on Venus, where the searing temperatures and molten lava complement their evilness. Earthly life will live on...

Alternatively the sun will get really big and burn us to death or something. There isn't a disease around, natural or otherwise, that can kill everybody no matter how fast it travels, and even nuclear war is survivable. Over-population just means that people will starve to death until the population is back at a more manageable number, and contrary to popular beliefs over-population is a long way off yet.

Wat if the Earth suddely stopped rotating and revolving around the sun. how crazy would that be. think about it the Earth must be moving pretty fast when it is rotating and revolving around the sun. That would be crazy. All of our necks would snap instantly. I cant even imagine how the whole thing would look if that happened.

Well think about it, in the early 19th century America alone had enough nukes to blow the earth up 7 times. And I believe that Russia had enough to blow it up 4 times. But we didn't now did we?

Not then, but that doesn't mean its still not a real possibilty

So I think life will end when it ends. I don't think there was ever a specific date. It will just happen eventually. The question is when? And I think that day will always alter or change depending on what we are doing right now.

Of course, but were not talking about a exact date, were talking about all the ways it could happen. It will happen some day, what day that is, we probably won't know till its too late.

Edit: Dang post jump....

-StaticX-;3492919If humans are able to colonize other planets someday i don't think the human race will ever die. If not, it will be war. Humans have a unmatched ability to destroy each other. A whole bunch of nukes go off and were done for.

Well think about it, in the early 19th century America alone had enough nukes to blow the earth up 7 times. And I believe that Russia had enough to blow it up 4 times. But we didn't now did we? But I do think that eventually weather conditions will change drastically and alter the way life works. So I think life will end when it ends. I don't think there was ever a specific date. It will just happen eventually. The question is when? And I think that day will always alter or change depending on what we are doing right now.

borntoshoot;3493861U no i think there are aliens out there and are thousands of years ahead of our civilization. Other words they r to smart for us. They no everything were doing. Either that or we will kill each other with our thoughts. Remember the phraise: Guns don't kill people the human mind does. It's all the sterotyping and racism that will cause war. Think of wat happened in WWII. Hitler tried to eliminate all jews, black, homosexauls, and any other religion type that is not thiers.

Your vision of aliens come straight out of a sci-fi movie my friend :p I will post some questions that will hopefully change your thoughts... 1:Why are (when there is already a huge variety of life on this planet only) aliens always described/figured as humanoids?

2:Why are alien civilizations always united, and not divided into countries, like us?

3:Why do aliens have to be more techbologically advanced/smarter than us? Can't there be species that are scared of our possible invasion? Who knows, maybe there's creatures scared as hell when seeing our explorers sniffling around on Mars?

4:Why do aliens always have to appear friendly in the beginning, and hostile in the end?

5:Why don't aliens have problems within their own civilization? Like wars, insane dictators, hypocrites, and so on?

6:Why do aliens always look repulsive/unattractive? Maybe they're sweet, furry little thingies?

7:Why is it not possible that some people are fighting with sticks&stones might be wondering why they get satellite debris on their planet?

8 and most important:Why does alien life have to be intelligent life, why couldn't they be just animals?

Think about those ;)

Depends on what you mean the world...

If you mean the human population, probably an uncurable epidemic that will probably be brought about by diseases beginning to mutate faster than we can create new drugs to stop them.

If you mean all life, probably a large impact from a large celestial body (such as a meteorite, or the moon or something). However I doubt even that would kill everything (see below).

If you mean the entire planet just gone, when the sun goes nova.. And obviously if neither of the above (epidemic or meteorite) have happened then the sun going nova might just take care of it...

Personally I think that although we could do massive damage to ourselves and other life, we wouldn't be likely to wipe out everyone and everything. And destroying the planet...? Don't think so somehow.

Apparently, the sun expanding to Red Giant wouldn't engulf the Earth, we would just be fried instantly. I think we will eventually destroy ourselves.
