. . . About my cat. She has not feeling . . well? Recently, and my mom keeps saying she going to take her to the vet but she hasn't. Let me tell you the story. About 5 days ago, a couple of guys came over to have our pool installed. My cat, natually, freaked out. She also, however, was not feeling to good at the time, so she hid. For three days. We just found her, well I did. Unlike her squeky kinda-meow sound, she sounded kinda strained, and sick, as if a sour throat. She has only eaten a little, and I don't think she's urinated at all. She's drank water, but spends most of her time sleeping. My dad says he'll bring her to the vet, but he's notorious for saying he'll do something, then falling asleep, unless of course, it concerns himself. I know there's nothing I can do, medically, but is there anything I can do help relieve my emotional stress. I'm really worried about her, and I want to calm down. She's been in our family for 7 years, and I've already lost two cats before. Thanks for reading (Did you?) Ihaterednecks

I read it, sorry to hear about this. One of our cats ran away and the other had to be put down :(. Get her to the vet quickly, ask your mom or dad if you can take her tomorrow after school or something. The sooner the illness is discovered, the quicker the recovery.

You better get her to the vet asap. I know from trips to my vet that if your cat doesn't eat in three days it can be quite devastating for them.

My Cat had the same simptons as you described. He would drink only a little and then never come out. he would sleep all day and when he talked it was varry diffrent from his normal way. He also lost alot of his fat and he was a fat cat. do me a favour and check his skin. kind of move his hair back and see if you can see it. If it is yellow i have bad news. He prob had Liver problems. This sounds exactily like my cat and he ended up passing away last year because of it. I am varry sorry he is sick. I love cats

How old is the kitty? But get that critter to the vet ASAP. I had a cat, it was in my family for almost 20 years. Great cat, too, never scratched or bit, and we didn't need to declaw her, very well-behaved, but that last year was not so good for her.

Get her to the vet ASAP, this sounds like either a severe cold, but more like a bleeding in the brain, dont know the english word for it, anyway, my cat had it, and more recently one of my mothers dogs.

Bleeding in the brain-aneurysm? Hemmorrage applies to any severe internal bleeding, I believe. But if you want your cat to live for longer, going to the vet would be a very good idea.

Like all the rest i would recommend getting her to a vet. That would help you as well since you would have an idea as to what is going on.

Indeed, make your mom (/dad) go to the vet. You can do nothing about it, so just chill down a bit, nothing's your fault.

Also, a wild guess (I know nothing about cats); could the cat have drunk / eaten something wrong? As you told about those pool-guys, may she incidentally have gotten some cleaning-liquid or chlorine?

Anyway, good luck.
