Greetings all!

I'm back.. and very happy to be back!

Don't get me wrong, Ireland is a beautiful country, and I'm big on history so seeing all of those castles and remnents of castles dotted about the land was so nice. The Cliffs of Moore are awesome. 5 miles long and quite the drop to the water.

I learned a few things as well. Ireland, (as other country's in Europe may be, you euro's can correct me if I'm wrong) use both the imperial system of measurement and the metric. Quite often on programs I watched they discussed things using the Imperial system when I thought all of Europe was metric.

Guinness is awesome too... I had a few pints of that and was so relaxed I couldn't even shuftle a deck of cards anymore. I just wanted to sleep. They weren't kidding about it being a full meal in a glass, that stuff is thick!

There is a lot more I did, and I'll have pictures uploaded soon, so I just want to say one last thing... JET LAG SUCKS!! and so does the dollar.

To the Bush lovers... explain to me, if he's so great, why the dollar dropped to it's lowest point ever in the exchange rate when they were expecting the release of his new economic policies? Don't give me any of that, it's not true crap, I had to go through the exchange and I know how much I got for my dollar... nothing... 1 euro currently = 1 dollar and 30 cents. That adds up when you're exchanging several hundred dollars to buy stuff.

Actually don't explain it... I just wanted to vent my position about Bush and relay a small fact to you all.

Ok, time to get back to work. I'll be around!

Ta ta

We only use metric system here, IMO the imperial system is an unlogical pain in the ass. The dollar has fallen like 30% here the last few years I think, but I ain't complaining, american stuff get's cheaper :naughty:.

Anyway, let's not turn this into a political thread, i'm glad you enjoyed it over there :).

Ireland uses both. I don't know why, but they do. It was strange indeed.

and I agree, I just wanted to vent at the fact on how 'ripped off' I was by the exchange rate.
