For my honors English class I have to write at least a two page science fiction creative writing piece that has Vermeer, the famous painter from the 1600s, included in it. Got any ideas? This is hardly what I would have expected to get out of an honors course. :uhm:
Write about how he paints and his picture comes to life and jumps into him and he acts all demonic and needs to get the thing out, and he would sweat alot, all the time!
lol, that is tough, since Vermeer really didnt paint anything that had to do with Science Fiction. Why dont you try to make people from the future give an analysis on "The girl with a Pearl Earing".
Use my idea!!! ;)
- future setting - an international gang of art thieves travels back in time to steal paintings from the house of the master and sell them in the future - an officer from Temporal Investigantions is sent after them. - the international community is scared of doing anything to screw up the timeline; the crimminals don't care (money). - interaction with characters from the past.
just start off with like " the captain looked away from his copy of the girl with a pearl earing. it was a pitty that Vermeer produced so few works it made getting a hold of one so incredibly difficult. he turned to his first officer and asked for an update....." or something along those lines.
dreads works too :nodding:
Perhaps something like a group of non-corporals have drifted into some of Earth's culture and do not understand the concept of art. They read his paintings as something else. From there I think can come up with something. Anyways, it is due Tuesday. I work well when i leave something to literally the last minute. Last semester I wrote a five page writing piece that we had two weeks to work on and I didn't even begin to think about it until the period before I had English. Funny thing is my teacher gave me an A+ saying that he couldn't believe how good it was. Heh, if he only knew...
Thanks for all your help!
erm yer nice topic :/ sounds hard very hard soz can't think how to help you
Well, I finished, but it is really bad. It just plods around with a dryness not seen anywhere else but within my writing. My teacher is gonna hate it. I should have speant more than twentyfive minutes on it while coming up with the story as I went. It is one thing to do that with a free creative writing piece, but not one where you are given certain criteria to follow.
I'm way cooler than n0e (who isn't though?)

write about the way he falls in love with a picture of a woman he draws
and looses his mind when it is destroyed in an accident and a scientist uses
a programme to connect to his mind and tries to cure him by projecting the thought that she is real and alive
