Reno;3565508I believe when a person dies they go to sleep and don't wake up. I imagine death like enjoying a good sleep so much that you just can't bring yourself out of it. Like being woke up by an alarm clock at 5am on a winter morning. I have trouble believing an afterlife exists. Reincarnation doesn't seem to plausible to me either.
But when you sleep time passes instantly (at least you feel like it does). So you would have to break some barrier and enter into another dimension by 'instantly' passing eternity. :uhoh:
I think we just become another living creature. Animal, human, alien, magic force, whatever it is... :p

Why though? I am not saying you are wrong, I'm just wondering what it is that makes you believe in re-encarnation?
The body's rot in the ground...plane and simple.
Being an atheist, I don't think anything happens to our "spirits" or "souls" when we die. I suppose I'll find out what it's like when the Reaper comes for me.
*Goes on singing Blue Oyster Cult*
"Seasons don't fear the reaper, nor do the wind nor the sun nor the rain, we can be like they are, baby take my hand," *ahem* sorry. I don't know what came over me...
GNR Unbreakable;3566679The only thing dead people know, is that it's better to be alive.
 Yep, I think I can agree with that :p
What are your thoughts . How do they exist. How does memmory exist . Knowledge ? Where does your bodies energy travel to when you die and what form does it take. All energy must take on a new form eventually.
The body has many different energies...The body is very complicated when living and dead actually. I dont know the half of it though.
Mmh i think if we die that we just keep on living further in a place somewhere else but we just dont know it. A place where we always wanted to be. Or We die, but we wake up and we are another person but we dont know it.. Like you die at age 85 and the second you die, the next second a person is born you are that person and life starts again... Its strange but its bulshitt that life ends, but we shall find out someday...
If life never ended, the planet would have overpopulated millions of years ago.
I dont understand how some of you can look at something like this and go "so what? It happens"
Yeah - it happens to us all and there's nothing we can do about it but what are you trying to prove to an online forum? that you're not afraid of death...wow, you're hardcore.
Most if not everyone is afraid of dying and it's the curse of the human mind to be able to comprehend the idea of mortality. For anyone with a brain attempting to truely think through what it means to stop existing and for your mind to just stop altogether it's a scarey thing my friends. The idea of death doesnt scare people, what scares people is the inability to know for sure what death means and the inability to fully understand the concept of not thinking or not existing (and then not really knowing that you dont exist)...basically we can thank existentialists for this whole thing but that's a little off subject...
I dont know what I believe about death and the afterlife (if there is one anyway) but I can tell you want I WANT to believe. I'd like to believe there's something after this...I'd be more up for re-incarnation than heaven and hell though. I think it'd be cool if it was re-incarnation and a person could actually remember what and who they were in past lives..that'd make an interesting movie/story
