Just something I thought of. If you had a choice or were born somewhere else where would you want to have been born. So whats your current Nationality and what would you want to be. Also would you actually rather be that Nationality over your own or is it simply "second best" to your current Nationaity? I am English which I am happy with and wouldnt change for anything, but if I did have to be another Nationality I'd want to be hands down, Canadian (English speaking) Why? Because Canada is cool (well the English speaking parts)

They all live on donuts and moose meat And they leave the house without packin' heat Never even bring their guns to the mall!

*ahem*

I was born in America, but honestly if I was given a chance to live my life over again I'd probably just choose my life again. So I could do things differently. But if I *had* to choose another nationality, I'd choose to be born in Britain. Much more interesting, IMO.

We in Britain pack less "heat" than the Canadians. (unless you include Northern Ireland, where they can legally own semi-auto rifles and handguns and pump shotguns, its true, look it up) But what we do have is Longbows and Broadswords we carry with us to Shopping Centres (Not Malls, this is England!!!!!)

Japan; better education system, more communal culture.

Would I rather be that nationality over my own? I suppose so, yes. I think England's a feckless shithole circling the drain, so there are lots of places I'd rather be.

I would choose Canada under a different political regime, the one we have now is against Canadian identity and is extremely unconstitutional. I do like this country, it is probably one of the most free places in the world. The past few governments we have had are doing their hardest to take everything we have away from us.

But thats still Canada man, your original Country, you're missing the idea of the thread.

I'd pick one of the other Nordic countries. They're all the same to me. Same people, same culture, same system (except some insist on keeping up the monarchy thing to impress toddlers), shared history. Furthermore, they all rank top 10 on education, health, equality, low crime, low corruption, water quality, internet speed and availability, etc.

Plus, Norway and Sweden have almost as much blondes as Finland, so for me that's another mark on the pro-list. ;)

Canada's a big "meh" at the moment thanks to successive stupid governments trying their best to ruin the country. It's also hard to say English Canada is the cool part when that includes the likes of Manitoba, Saskatchewan (provinces that just stink of boring). I think what you really meant is that Ontario is cool, and BC is too because they're the only provinces that matter (sorry Alberta, you have money but you're all hicks). Quebec gets a bad reputation but it's a wonderful province.

Nationality doesn't really matter to me, but in the spirit of the thread I spun a globe around, put my finger down and it landed on Chad... So... Chadian.
