My cabin fireplace project has hit a snag. This stone crap I bought looked a lot easier sitting in the showroom.

This is what I have:

Anyone in the trade that could answer a couple of questions would be appreciated.

I have a canvas bag, duct tape and a pointy stick. If I have to, I'll drive to the company and 'fetch' an expert.

unless you want it to look horrible, I would go and grab a professional to do it, or to come teach you how to do it.

You could take a picture of the finished thing in the showroom and try to imitate that.

I don't have the patience for this. This is the last thing I have to do in order to call this monstrosity, done. I'm going to get an expert to do this. Breaking stuff is so much easier than building stuff.

When this started, I just wanted a simple cabin; then my wife got involved.

Every major screw up in my life can be summed up to 1 word.......Women!!

It's a conspiracy! They are all in on it.

The only drawback to living so far away from everyone is when I need something like this done. It's going to be 2 weeks before I can get a stone guy here. I'll probably kick those boxes into the pond before then.

I've got a friend with a twin engine Piper airplane. If you're a stone mason, I'll send him to get you.
