Not badly hurt, few bruises but messed up shit.

I was on a Metrolink tram going to Eccles, and the tram stopped on a switch (points) as it had come into conflict with another tram. As the driver changed direction to try and clear the problem the points changed and the back half went on the wrong line, derailed, and hit an overhead poll, MASSIVE bang and loads of flashes, sudden halt that threw me a bit (was stood up) and everyone started screaming and dashed off the tram quick time.

Here are some pics anyway and some videos of it here, my battery was going flat sadly so not the best.

Doesn't look all that serious from the pictures, but even a small crash can kill a man. Did anyone (besides you) get hurt? And if so, how serious?

Nah nobody was hurt really, just the sudden jolt when the tram stopped caused me too loose balance as I was stood up, and the bangs and flashes were upsetting to a few girls and stuff who panicked a bit, but it was low speed thankfully.

Doesn't look like anything serious. Always could have been worse, though.

PFFT

I WANT COOKIES AND SYMPATHY =p

Also serious is a subjective term. I'm more annoyed at the piss poor system that was in operation. This was the SECOND DAY of running on a stupid new spur that had opened which requires trams to reverse 3 times in NORMAL operation. This was on the cards.

I noticed the raised pantograph before spotting the derailment. =p Good to hear nobody got injured, depending on how unlucky one is, even a low speed crash could cause injuries or worse...

Edit: Just saw your post above, seem like they may wish to fine tune the tram routes/schedules a bit... *gives cookie to Danny*

No head injury can excuse that atrocity!

Although, that is kind of pathetic, I was expecting it to be upside down and on fire with a load of lava coming at the tram from a near-by volcano..

Shame England's so boring.
