I'm too cool to Post

Ladies and Gentlemen of FFF/GF/Whatever...
I retired from my Administrator position a couple of days ago ("What, again, AzH!!?") and wanted to let you know just a few things.
Me leaving has nothing to do with the move towards FileFront from gamingforums. I know many people are pissed off with it, but if you think about it, these forums belong to FileFront and therefore it is only fair that they have the right to rename them as they see fit. You'll notice that all staff ranks images now display the 'FF|' prefix. That was at my request, not anyone from FileFront. I wanted to do that to bring together these forums and the parent network, to try and harmonise the community a little bit more. FileFront is one of the largest, most popular game sites on the internet and I feel proud to have served them in the capacity I did. All staff should also feel pride in this. Your work for a great gaming site is something you should be very proud of. You contribute to FileFront's success, so thank you very much for that.
I had been planning to leave at the end of the year but it didn't come as a surprise to those who know me to see me bring it forward. My activity had declined and many will confirm that I only really posted in the Staff Forums. This is due to having less time available due to personal reasons and due to the increase in activity on my own forums, Devious Tyrant. Also, I haven't been on during days because I can no longer sign in at work. I can sign in at DT, but not here, strange...
I'd like to both say thank you to all staff who have worked with me and for me and at the same time apologise for the lack of notice given over my departure. As I mentioned previously, you are all a great asset of FileFront, and I am thankful for the opportunity to work with you and to impart whatever knowledge and experience I have to new and old staff alike. I know that moral is low in the staff at this time due to issues I won't discuss, but try and keep your heads held high. If you keep doing what you are doing you'll soon start to see an improvement in the general attitude of this place. During times of transition stability is needed. I apologise that I can no longer help to provide that stability, but you have an exceptional team of senior staff members here and they'll see you through a-ok.
I won't be vanishing completely. You'll still see me around from time to time, and I'll still post occasionally and keep up-to-date with whatever is going on here. It has been a great two years (in which I've amassed an obscene number of posts) and I'm not ready to say goodbye just yet. Plus, I have to keep Riles away from the top poster position. ;)
That's it really, that's all I have to say. I have fond memories of this place and of my time on the staff (all 30+ times - so don't start with the wise cracks). This isn't "goodbye", it's "see you around", and I will. Keep posting, keep spamming and keep having a damn good time.

I really want to say it.....
I so badly want to make a joke about how many times this has happened.
I shall bite my tongue.
What I shall say, is that, when I was staff also, it was an honor to keep monumentally screwing up here and there, and having to go to such a kind, caring gentle giant to apologise. It's a shame to see you 'retire' but you've done a damn good job, and DT is your main responsibility forum wise now, seeing as its kinda, ya know, your foum!
I wish you all the best in whatever you do, and keep it devious!

I remember you saying something about that you planned to retire at the end of '05, so it didn't really surprise me. I just want to thank you for everything you've done for the forums and hell, for me under the almost 2 years I've been here. You've better keep your word and stay around though ;).

It's sad to see you step down, you've served the community for a long time and have kept this forum on it's feet and stable. I'm honored to have worked with you and getting to know you over the past years.
I wish you the best of luck and to excel in everything you do.
