This type of thing angers me. Check out what has happened to the crime rates in Australia since all law-abiding gun owners were forced to turn in their weapons.

The FN 5-7 that they are touting as such a threat is nothing more than old ammo tucked into a new gun. This type of ammo has been around for years.

And I just love the media who call semi-autos, regardless of configuration, "assault weapons". I guess my pocket .22 is also considered an assault weapon by their definition. But hey, so is any weapon capable of committing assault with, right? How about the knives used in 9/11 or in the recent Zion murders of the two girls? Hell, how about Ted Kennedy's car?

Ok, I am done now.

I am a NRA member and damn proud of it. They have tried to pass assault weapon bans, and they have failed, the most recent was not renewed. Nows the time to buy people, AK's have always been legal, but not HiCap magazine are available! vg02.gif

If people were responsible with their weapons there would be no problem. However Crash with an AK makes me nervous... :P

AK's were never banned. Modified Kalishnakovs that are automatic require a Class C permit to purchase or own. No semi automatic weapon is banned anymore (to the best of my knowledge, 30'30 s are different stories)

Oh great, another thread about this topic.

cg_fin_007This type of thing angers me. Check out what has happened to the crime rates in Australia since all law-abiding gun owners were forced to turn in their weapons.

They went up, surprise surprise. And in which direction will they go in the long run? Check out statistics of countries which have strict gun control for more than some years.

"Criminals prefer unarmed victims" Again, thinking in the long run might help. As soon as every citizen is armed criminals are forced to use more violence. Sure, a weapon might protect you right now, but in the long run it will not really improve the situation to arm the whole country.

About the website: It's well done. I especially like drive-by-bayoneting. But I don't really know why people want a bayonet for their rifle. Do you charge targets at the shooting range with them or how?

The term "assault rifle" is indeed flawed, you can assault someone with a hunting rifle, but according to dictionary.com assault rifle means:

Any of various automatic or semiautomatic rifles designed for individual use in combat. Any of the automatic rifles or semiautomatic rifles with large magazines designed for military use.

Wouldn't really say that a .22 is designed for combat...

[QUOTE=M1GarandSharpShooter]Its our freedom, so lets keep it.

Please keep that freedom on your side of the pond, thanks.
