How does one script torpedos to, on a percentage chance, slip through sheilds (eg: hit sheild, minimal or no damage caused and continues on to hull to cause most or full damage)? Links to information would be gratefully accepted if no one has time to spare :nodding:. I got the texture and colors sorted, 's just this I is got problems with.

Unfortunatly, theres no script thats been made to do that. Im sure someones workin on it, but who knows. for all we know its as simple as the armada 2 script "ignore sheilds=1" thing for it.

Even the so called 'phased plasma' torps just blasted a hole through them, I believe. I may be wrong, I often am...

It may be worth contacting the author of ATP - he had poleron beams in that, he might have tried to find a way through.

The only other way, from what I understood, it to increase the blast radius of the weapon to cause splash damage but this looks rather silly and tends to cause slight slowdown on my machine. Nevertheless, I shall e-mail this 'Alexis Rombaut' that you speak of so highly. Ta muchly.

I think the best way to do that is to create a .py file for that. And script it. 036dhbrd
