Hello all,

I've been playing with python for a while now; and BC for longer... and I've hit a brick wall in a mod I'm working on.... how do you make a BC script wait for.. say... 15 seconds? I've tried everythng I can think of... and it doesn't work.

Also on a side note... I was wondering if someone could tell me how to destroy a system in a script. I think my way is working, but without the wait, I can't tell, and I'd like to use a known way to destroy the system.....

Any help would be appreciated!!

Look in the ATP2 (or 1) there are some parts that use time, you might be able to use those somehow. An other way would be to use the for loop or while, this is not accurate (depends on the system speed), so I sugest you try ATP2 way (it's in the Ion Cannon and the Tractor beams).

To destroy a system you first need to search for a system (look in the Ablative Armour of the ATP (1 or 2) for more detail on how to do this) and then you have this to do it:

pSubsystem.SetCondition(0)

But I'm not entirely sure, you might want to check in the App.py to make sure.

You might also need permission to use the snippits, but I'm not sure about that you should ask StarForce2 or Elminister. PS

ATP stands for Advanced Technologies Pack, their have been 3 releases so far the one without any number, 1 and 2. And soon ATP3.

The ATP is a set of technologies (corbonite deflector and others it is avaidable at BCFiles but that version is outdated).

Oh, and as far as what I'm making, right now I'm just redoing the self destruct script to include in CW's mod he's doing.... but long term project I'm going to be working on doing a seperation mod for BC. That's going to be really fun.. hehe...

You to! So am I, but I'm stuck at the buttons, but then we are going to have a MVAM soon, look at BCU.
