fluidic space anyone? (its from armada 2)
How about the Catara System (Something like that) from Nemesis. with the planet and ion storm
How are flares created on stars? Are they part of the model? Are they some sort of "spark emitter" hardpointed on the star?
The reason I ask is for the pulsar. The star's sphere could be made dip, while the poles, where the flares are, could be made super bright, and just have it roating on it's axis fast, so that the bright polar beams would spind around and give the impression of a pulsear.
Also, those same polar jets comming out of a black hole and piling up into a blob of gas above and below would make it even more acurate. The pulsear model could be used for that, just make the sphere black.
Well the effects for the sun flares as far as I can tell and have had experience with are created in D:\Star Trek Bridge Commander\scripts\Tactical
with the EffectTextures.py & LensFlares.py, I never was able to find an actual model for the stars at all. I think they are mostly just created using scripts and encoded in the game itself?
I wish I knew exactly how it worked but I don't. as far as I can tell it runs through a series of pictures located in the D:\Star Trek Bridge Commander\data\Textures\Effects folder.
In system pack 2 I added a black star and I think I added a white star (I think?) but in order to do this I had to add scripting and textures in the effecttextures.py
clear as mud? :deal:
That racing system in the Voyager Episode Season 7 called Drive. Where they race. You can create the flag poles as 6 poly objects (to not kill the game, for reference look here: http://www.startrek.nl/videocaps/voy/voy149-24.jpg ), and the wormhole... Well as a wormhole (I suppose an object like that is possible, because I was able to fly with a shuttle through a Warbird, I have to admit that I'm not sure if I had the collisions turned on).
And fluidic space, I think I might be able to make those tails, coming from the Impulse Engines, it would be like the Plasma Rupture. If you are going to do this map (fluidic space) please send me a PM, for those trails. I think I can give you the code you must include, I'm just don't no exactly where.
Thanks for your time,
:uhm: uhm, im not a modder, could somone make it i was asking. sorry 2 bother anyone.:(
# Working Wormhole ?
Just a few Ideas.. * The wormhole can be a proximity triggered event like AutoWarp. * A section of deep space with the wormhole in it, and a QBR submenue that allowed you pick planets for either end would be wicked. Also the other end of the wormhole should have a reset function to remove all the previous star systems and add new ones ( Otherwise U chould just warp to a starbase and we no thats not posible from the Gamma Quad!). * Replacining the traveling at Warp starfield and maybe a speed limit ie..If you trigger the wormhole and you are traveling at high impulse ther should be a chance of hitting a column of Vertron energy on entry. * If passage through the wormhole were a level in itself with the entry and exit points as nav points you could fly your way through it. Maybe a Space with Metron Nebula type things top and bottom and Moveing Vertron Columns that show up on sensors and are attracted to sheilds ect... (like KillerAstroids only better }:-))
At the moment I'm just tweeking exsisting mods and dont have much experience in python ect... I may have a go myself if I can work out where the triggers and stuff are....But if someone else wants a go I think it whould make a wicked addon

Well the DS9 Station orbiting Bajor with a wormhole that you can fly through to Dominion space and when U fly though the Dominion is fighting the Borg and loosing and borg ships keep coming through the wormhole and attacking the station....kind of a continious game with random battles of Borg and Dominion that wont bother ya too much because your not the PRIME target yet:-) untill the Dominion are defeated they its your turn:-)....I have a pic that looks similar to the inside of the DS9 wormhole I got off of SCFI.com im attaching it..if u add moving particles or somethin it would work great....mybe darken it a bit too:-)
How about the Ocampa system? You can have a destroyed Cardassian Outpost for the Caretacker's Array! :D :agreed: ?
