Hello all,

I have been watching Star Trek TNG repeats recently and I was intrigued by the episode called 'The Prometheus', I believe. It involved installing a revolutionary new cloaking device on-board the ship, which not only allowed the it to cloak, but also manipulated matter to allow it to travel through it. Unfortunately, the experiment failed. I thought this would be an interesting Mod to have in the game. Are there any modders out there who would be prepared to make this mod, please, as I feel being able to travel through meteors or planets, etc., would be cool?

You can't do that, but you can get a phase cloak at ATP 1.

Umm, I assume you mean 'The Pegasus' ?? Advanced Technologies Pack on BCFiles has the Phase Cloak your on about.

Except the atp1 one won't allow you to travel through planets - though turning god mode on in testmode does...

Not that I would ever countenance that sort of thing of course!

There may be a way to alow ships to fire on cloaked vessels... I'm only theorizing of course... But... what about making a ghost image for the computer to track. If you modified the current game controls you could move this invisible image around space at the player's control. Thus there is something to lock onto. This invisible image would only serve as a lock on. Phaser fire would pass through it to the object you think might be there. Of course as it should be torpedos would be extremely dificult to target.

This lock could appear in the normal target list. U simply choose it an angle the camera around much like is done with the shift and mouse to view diffrent parts of space. It just might be possible to fool the programing in this way...
