I woke up at about midnight, I was exhausted and had slept all day, so I watched tv for 3 hours, then put PGR2 in my Xbox to play on live (I had realized I have people on my friends list who where in foreign locations). So I sign on and of course there is a load of servers since europe was awake. So I optimatch a kudos race, and low and behold, I'm disconnected. So I tried a different server, again the same thing, I go through this process several times, until I get fed up and start my own server. 5 minutes waiting rewarded me with 4 racers, but as we talked and the question was raised of each others locations, I find that we are all in the U.S. I started become suspicious since 3-5 AM was, to my knowledge when most Europeans are online, while it's America's slowest gaming time. I asked my fellow racers, and they to were having problems connecting to servers. Also while racing and sitting in the lobby, over a period of time, I saw several names enter the server and seconds later disconnect, these I'm assuming were English or other European players. One name, Irish Lust, was a possible give away Irish lust.

So what does this tell me? Well the most prominent thought is, we are being isolated. To keep us from the views of others that might open our eyes to improper activities of our army or simply enlighten us, changing our opinion about our government.

That's my thought, just a thought.

Well I'm all for a good conspiracy theory, but this seems a little too "out there" even for me...

you must be new to the wonderful world of the networked community. The first thing you should do is reproduce this again on another day. Many times, because just as you said, it's the slowest gaming time for the US, MS may update their network, do a reset of it to ensure it doesn't go down when the flock swarms online and plays during peak hours. Also, try a euro server normally and see if it still happens.

And stop posting in frickin' white.

I've heard many ridiculous conspiricy theories, and this one, though not particularly severe, is definitely up there with the best of them

Unless of course your using a dark theme. I doubt its a conspiracy. Probably just something wrong with the network at the time.
