This is not good. Minnesota Bridge Collapse -- News Coverage I've always been slightly paranoid driving over those concrete overpasses back home, but now... Hmm.
I agree. Im quite paranoid driving over those bridges..... But they are going to be checking all the bridges in the state for a couple of weeks to make sure everything is good.
Oh wow, I used to go over that bridge all the time when I lived in Minnesota.
That's scary. O.O
If you listen to the Safety Engineer thing, where they read off the inspection report, it seems that they knew this could have been coming. They just weren't keeping up the bridge.
Which makes all the more disturbing...
That happened with th Guadalahara explosions, city workers knew it was going to explode, but they didn't evacuate. They let over 200 people die.
Why did it happen? And you got this early. Eyewitness News didn't even talk about it yet, lol.
Pretty weird stuff. It was only inspected last month, wasn't it? And it was inspected last year, and the year before that and the year before that too. But I guess you can only inspect whats on the outside. God knows what the framework and infrastructure is like on the inside.
Luckily most of the lanes were shut down due to construction. But, that might have been a contributing factor, who knows? In any case, here's a surveillance video of the bridge's collapse: I-35 W Bridge Collapse
Jesus... I'm glad there are no bridges in Houston to be afraid of... just overpasses and flyovers.
You're fucked if one of them collapses.
It would be mayhem.
Don't mean to scare you, like.
Man this is horrible, can only hope the people who got trapped in their cars passed painlessly..

Dude, these are exactly the things I'm talking about. One of those is going to go down sooner or later... have you seen the I-10 / Beltway 8 interchange at rush hour? That would be inconceivably bad.
