Anyway, getting away from Pub material...

I'm from the wild hinterlands west of Stumptown. We don't really have celebs around here per se, but I've seen Phil Knight around (never met him personally, but I know several people who have, and he's just about the coolest, just-like-everyone-else, brown-bag-lunch billionaire out there), and I know where Linus Torvalds lives and "works." OSDL is on the floor right below my office ;)

I've also been drinking with KMFDM. Twice.

AlDaja;3364772Putting aside the talking heads on the nightly news...are we making any real progress over there or are those people determined to destroy themselves. Don't answer if it will get you in trouble.

Well, I'm in a combat unit, so most of the Iraqis I meet I end up in a firefight with. The ones that don't have AKs are nice people, they really want to unfuck their country. The cops over there really are amazing, some of the bravest guys I've ever met. The Iraqi Army has a ways to go by US standards, but they're coming along.

Okey I just deleted 8 posts. I would be grateful if we could stay on topic.
