My Madden 05 collectors additon disc is scratched. I need to know how to fix it. Can I use any household items to do it. That game is my baby and I need to know how to fix it. When I turn on the game it lets me play for about 10 minutes then it messes up and freezes. How do I fix the scratches?

Sounds bad, even worse that its Madden 2005 Collectors Edition. I bought a disc-repair kit at a local Radio Shack and it was relatively cheap, look around at a local electronics store and ask the people working. Some are cheap and some are expensive, but they are usually work the same.

How deep are the scratches? If they're light, then you should be able to use Disc Doctor on it.

If it's deep, you have no hope for it...

Some compainies replace the disc, but if its a special version, i doubt they would. EA do this. My Generals disc got a huge crack in it, and i payed £7.50 to have it replaced. Then, guess what?? After two weeks the replacement disc cracked as well.

I think I heard something about Virgin repairing discs for you, but I would guess that would come at a price, a hefty one at that. But hey, if you're not comfortable with trying the repairs yourself I suppose you could go to Virgin, or one of the other places mentioned.

My cases use to get cracked so I had to take them out to keep them safe:lol:

Btw, how bad are the scratches? like unplayable or just a few smaller ones that you should like to fix?

That's why you put the cases somewhere where they can't get scratched. None of my games have cracked cases or damaged discs, it isn't that hard. :p
