-Ghost-That's the difference right there. Knowing the person. Hearing someone die that isn't near you or you knew or anything makes them basically just a statistic, harsh as it may seem. I'm actually suprised it got as much attention as it did.

I dont know any rape or murder victims personally either but I dont laugh at them. The other thread about suicide recieved a lot of sympathy despite no one here knowing the person who commited suicide. Some people here are mocking the kid with there critisim being hes a "stupid emo kid" or "MySpace" is shit, and in my opinion that's incredible shallow.

You'd think Myspace would be pretty easy to exploit, considering you can put HTML in pretty much anything. Not good for security.

Anyway, I use Myspace, though I pretty much limit it to my friends and a few bands, plus my own band. Hell, I'm not even in any groups.
