Marthe (9) was out hiking in the woods with her family. After a short walk she wanted to go back to their cabin on her own. As it wasnt far her parents let her walk back alone, but she got lost and ended up wandering around for 33 hours before she was rescued by searchteams.
That is one tough 9 year old!! Not sure how long I would have lasted in the middle of nowhere at the age of 9.
33 hours? Wow. I'm consistently amazed by the amount of energy expended by kids of that age, I'm really not that surprised
yes... that is a though one....
How the hell does a 9 year old get lost for 33 hours if she was not far from home?
Maybe she wasn't paying attention in geography lessons. Or maybe she wasn't paying attention to anything at all :clueless:.
I couldn't make it 33 hours, I'd be eating random berries.
at 9 I use to go into the woods near my house for hours with my friends.
Did you ever stay out for 33 hours?
Same here. I learned the woods behind my house in Texas and Kentucky like the back of my palm. I knew where caves were and everything. The woods are a lot of fun to travel, until you get lost. I only got lost a few times. One time me and some friends were lost in the woods, and we had a fat friend with us, so we told him that if we didn't find civilization by tommorow we would eat him first. He started crying and he freaked out. Tons of fun.
CrashDid you ever stay out for 33 hours?
No thats because I never got lost. Thats my point.
