Not sure how accurate any of this is, but its interesting if true.
And why exactly, is people eating animals so wrong?
I'm pretty sure it's false, only because Peta doesn't have any pounds to accept animals into....

doesn't surprise me. The more you push that you're some great savior and protector of something the more you are most likely a sellout for greed.
PETA condones extreme actions across the board. This wouldn't be far from what they would do. If you want to support animals finding homes, support your local ASPCA who are all about caring for animals and take in those who were mistreated and try to rehabilitate them to find them new homes.

I hate PETA, but I hope this isn't true, not for PETA, but for all those animals who supposedly died.

yeah...poor animals. that is an extremely high number and a precise one at that.
Difficult to believe it though.
Taking a look at the about us portion,
PETA Kills Animals" is a project of the Center for Consumer Freedom (CCF), a nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting the full range of choices that American consumers currently enjoy. In addition to malicious animal-rights activists, we stand up to the "food police," environmental scaremongers, neo-prohibitionists, meddling bureaucrats, and other self-anointed saints who claim to "know what's best" for you.
Judging from that this just seems like a vessel for misinformation/smear campaign for this organization to advance their agenda. They get funding from various food and restaurant groups who would be impacted by attempts to change the industry. It's also interesting to note that these guys got a startup from Phillips Morris.
This being said I could care less about PETA. They don't really do much beyond intentionally pissing people off for publicity stunts. Like n0e said ASPCA is much more better in handling animals.
So what? Hundreds of thousands of animals die each day. People die each day too, some are killed by the military, and some die from natural causes. Boycotting fails.
Sad man :(
I doubt it is real, just because PETA is so extreme about not killing anything.

I hate it when you watch a nature show and some jaguar is chasing a baby something or other and some idiot goes"nooo thats so mean".....
That website has smear campaign written all over it. Not that I doubt that an organization like PETA may be corrupt to some degree, but I'd be careful with believing such websites.
NiteStryker;5394932And why exactly, is people eating animals so wrong?
Some say that men don't have the right to kill animals, some say that you shouldn't kill animals because many of them are just as clever as dogs or cats and then there are those who say that eating meat is wrong due to the cruel conditions in animal mass production. Some also don't eat meat as they are worried about the health impact.
