Is there a mod that makes ships shoot more than one phasers or are they only limited to one ship type? Cuz on shows, they could attack more than one phasers? If so, please post.

THanks.

That wasn't a very clear post, if you mean what I think you mean, which is to ask if ships can fire multiple phasers at once (like the Galaxy re-fit does in Sacrifice of Angels, or the Ent-E does in Nemesis) then yes it's possible. You'll need to use the MPE or edit the hardpoint.py with a python editor.

In the MPE open the Phaser property (that's the root property, not the individual phaser property) and uncheck the 'Single Fire' check box.

To edit the script without a handy GUI, find the following line:

Phasers.SetSingleFire(1)

and change the 1 to a 0.

Hope that helps.

Ok, I could edit the .py files, but I could not edit the pyc files, so can anyone post the link of the download of a program to edit them? THanks. Also, on some ship hardpoints, it does not say. phasers.singlefire(1) Something like that, they have ventral, dorsels, etc. How do you edit there phasers if they have those options to fire multiple phasers? Thanks again. Have a nice day.

Ok, to get the MPE (Model Property Editor) you'll need to download and extract the Bridge Commander SDK. You can find it on BCfiles. With the MPE you can edit .pys and .pycs in a GUI environment. The SDK and MPE forum has plenty of hints and tips on how to use the MPE, and combined with the HTML explanatory file you'll be up and running in no time.

All ships that fire phasers have the phaser weapon system property, in addition to the individual weapon properties (dorsal 1, etc.). The code your are looking for is:

Phasers = App.WeaponSystemProperty_Create("Phasers")

Phasers.SetMaxCondition(8000.000000) Phasers.SetCritical(0) Phasers.SetTargetable(0) Phasers.SetPrimary(1) Phasers.SetPosition(0.000000, 0.000000, 0.000000) Phasers.SetPosition2D(34.000000, 40.000000) Phasers.SetRepairComplexity(7.000000) Phasers.SetDisabledPercentage(0.750000) Phasers.SetRadius(0.250000) Phasers.SetNormalPowerPerSecond(480.000000) Phasers.SetWeaponSystemType(Phasers.WST_PHASER) Phasers.SetSingleFire(0) Phasers.SetAimedWeapon(0) kFiringChainString = App.TGString() kFiringChainString.SetString("0;Single") Phasers.SetFiringChainString(kFiringChainString) App.g_kModelPropertyManager.RegisterLocalTemplate(Phasers)

Once again ALL ships that fire phasers have this property, it's just a matter of finding it!

If the phaser description (NOTE: That's the property I've included below and NOT any other property) does not have the single fire property... type it in...

Simply Ctrl-C/Ctrl-V the attribute I've posted into the "Phasers = App.WeaponSystemProperty_Create("Phasers")" Property. As long as the fire arcs of the phasers on the ship overlap, you'll now be able to fire multiple phasers at the same time.

I can't send you the SKD unless you provide an e-mail address.

Just to re-iterate, the property you're looking for starts:

"Phasers = App.WeaponSystemProperty_Create("Phasers")"

It does not start (for example):

DorsalFrontPhaser = App.PhaserProperty_Create("Dorsal Front Phaser")

or

VentralFrontPhaser = App.PhaserProperty_Create("Ventral Front Phaser")

Note the key description you are looking for, namely :"App.WeaponSystemProperty_Create", as opposed to "App.PhaserProperty_Create". If Notepad has a find function, use it to locate the right property.

I hope that's clearer...

Oops, your right, I forgot to include my E-mail. ARata37629@aol.com. Also....you mean that I just had to paste that Single Fire text on the properties?

Sorry, I can't mail the SDK to you - my account won't let me attach files larger than 3mb.

Yes, you just have to paste the single fire line into the property that starts with the line:

"Phasers = App.WeaponSystemProperty_Create("Phasers")"

It does not have that property, like on the NX-01 Enterprise mod.
