Alright, well, basically, I wrote this two nights ago when I was totally out of it... Its taking me right now, a little more than freaking out of it (note the self-censorship!), to actually post this. But yeah, here. Its there for you to read and insult or whatnot. I know it doesn't express a whole worldview, but still. Tell me what you think. ... "a girl or a goal. get one in life, or you are nothing. the only way you can look at yourself in the mirror at thew end of your life and be proud of yourself, if if you have achieved either a girl or a goal. let me explain: the one thing a man can do in life is to leave an impact on the world. the de facto way to do this is to find a nice girl, marry her, and have few kids. sure, thats all fine and dandy, but if i'm going to settle for the de facto way of living on this earth, its not going to be a f*cking chicken shit way of continuing the species. No. I will find a girl I love with all my heart, and who does the same to me, and we will burn our love together. I don't care how f*cking cliche that sounds, that is what i'll do. we'll have kids, but we'll f*cking mean it. our kids will come onto this earth, at the very least, screaming with all of creation behind their cries. they'll come to this little hunk of rock meaning to live on it, at the very least. that's the least you can hope for as a human being. to actually mean to live, and not just pay lip service to your creator. becasue that's one thing you can't be coerced into through money, or threats or anyhting else. loving someone. that is the one thing you have total control of, without having the slightest idea of how to control. love is yours to give and recieve, without any inkling of what makes you give or recieve it. it just is. don't take it for granted, becasue that is one thing you shouldn't -- something that is given to you through no merit of your own. if you're lucky, youare one of the blessed; otherwise, you an only stare in envy. such is life. now kids and a f*cking family are great. I've wanted one for a while, and i'm sure i'll get one, one way or another. but there is something so much more worhtwile to the other people sharing this hunk of rock with you that you can do, that even if you f*ck yourself up in the process, is a greater service to the people around you than just raising kids and sending them to summer camp to get them out of your f*cking hair a few years after their births. that is, to actually be someone. let me explain. you have to have a goal in life besides just f*cking someone and producing a litteral half-version of you to wander around this rock of a planet with as much idea of what is going on as the mouse has that is about to snap his f*cking neck in one of those wooden mouse traps loaded with cheese. if you are really going to be a great human being, you will have some sort of impact on the lives of people that you don't even know exist. you will write shit. you will sing shit. you will, hell, pretend to be other people that do some sort of shit. but you will contribute to the shit that is our cultiure. you will tell some kid out in the projects of queens that it is possible for him to go to school and be a doctor. and he'll be a f*cking doector. or you will tell some f*cking rich kid in suberbia the wonders of illegal drugs. he'll OD on some shithead's f*cked up concoction fo heroin and cocaine with some half-assed overused quote skraweld out on a cheap diner napkin in his shirt pocket. I don't f*cking care. in any case, you will tell someone something, so help you god. and you will be remembered for it. like vonnegut said, youve got 100 years max at the start of this thing. but this part is me -- make it count, kids, make it count. I don't care what you want, be it fame or a family or forutne or just plain descent into decadence, you better go for it. becasue thats what you're here for, and don't let anyone tell you otherwise. i don't care if i end whatever the f*ck this is with a cliche -- life: live it... bitch."

You write pretty coherently when you're smashed. Writing something passionately like that is something we all do.

you have to have a goal in life besides just f*cking someone and producing a litteral half-version of you to wander around this rock of a planet with as much idea of what is going on as the mouse has that is about to snap his f*cking neck in one of those wooden mouse traps loaded with cheese.

Put a smile on my face.

Very nicely written for someone that was out of it, and a very good view to take on the whole thing. It means you get the most out of life, and so does your partner.

Why is it when we are drunk, we write more creatively? Is it just a matter of weakening the thought-to-action/speech filter?

Yeah, who knows? Haha, thanks for the comments everyone. I don't know why I decided to post this, it just seemed like a good idea at a time. You know how that goes, I'm sure. The inspiration came from watching "He Died with a Felafel in his Hands" while smashed.

I don't agree with what you wrote because I don't think life can be put into only two categories. There's so much more to life then having children or achieving a goal. What is someone to do when they're children are grow up and having their own or once they've achieved their goal? Should they just sit back and wait for death? What about all the people who die before they have children or have a goal, was their life a waste?

Isn't the meaning of life the ultimate question that everyone's been asking since the dawn of time?

Sorry, I guess I answered your question with more questions.

Well personally, I think the purpose of life is to enjoy it. As for everything else, well, I don't know, basically.
