Hi, i need to make a UserInterfaceDesign of a java game me and a classmate made, (we where suposed to make the UID first but we didn't :p). But since i suck at Photoshop, i have a question how do i line up the squares so that they are on exaclyt the same line both horizontally and vertically. I can manage to line up horizontally OR vertically but not both. We had to make a interface design so that we would have a general idea of how our game would going to look like. Here is a screenshot of the game (the GUI will be a less detailed version and a little bit different because we can't exaclty predict how our final userinteface would look like, now can we? :p) : attachment.php?attachmentid=12314&stc=1 So i am trying to make a less detailed/advanced version of this (i will give use roughly the save layout of the board/buttons/frames but wuth other colors etc., i will also replace the actual pawns/pieces with scetches. So how do i line up all the tiles (light blue) and all the "niveau" buttons in PS? An no i cant use this SS because i need layers and i am supposed to make a scatch design :p. Oh and for those who would like to play the game, you can down it :p!!

well you can make all of the squares line up by making a pattern in photoshop and then just filling with that pattern and they will all be the same.

for the buttons you could align them all to the bottom of the image then select them and move them up using the arrow keys to move 1 pixel at a time or shift up/down/left/right to move 10 at a time.

That's what I was thinking. But I didn't say, because I'm an idiot when it comes to anything to do with images :uhm:. I must be getting a bit better...

ok, with a little help of kerian i finished the scetch. I had to show differnet situations though: when the game starts, when you select/move a pawn etc. Thanks kerian!
