I'm trying to remove some outta whack hardpoints from Paul Damasco's Akira 2.

I noticed that he had too many phaser hardpoints and some were not even connected to the hull. My thought was to remove the phaser code from the hardpoint akira2.py file.

After doing so, I played the ship but the phaser hardpoints remained and were active, even though the .py file had them removed. I just wanted them inactive, nothing more.

Anybody know what else has to be changed to remove or make a weapon hardpoint inactive?

Thanks

Did you delete the PYC file. From the Hardpoints directory? It uses the pyc files to read from not the py files.

Yes, then I went back and it recreated the akira2.pyc file.

Pehraps the akira you are playing is not even targeting that hardpoint.

Also, if you remove the bottom lines for that property, you'll disable it.

You could also load the model in the property editor, then simply select the ones you wish to delete and click delete. Then save.
