Have you ever just stayed up all night infront of the TV??? Watching the white, blinking fuzz of the soulless box cast long shadows across your unflintching body. You see, I have insomnia... time has no meaning to me. I lay there whatching, hoping for a crumb of sleep. Feeling grey and lustless... trapped in limbo. Awake, yet not awake. It is turely a wretched thing. The other night I up again... watching. It was past 3:00AM and I was still awake. The mind frozen, the eyes wide open. There was an infomercial on the tube, something about selling crap over eBay. And as I gazed, blurry eyed, into the eyes of the beast... I began to SEE something. Not so much an object, per say, but shapes... moving shapes and colors. Ungelating and dissappearing, then surfacing again. It was like those acid trips that my pothead neighbor tells me so much about. Was I going INSANE? I shook it off and went into a blinking fit, trying to shake off the sleepless apparitions. "This HAS to stop." I thought to myself... Its funny... after 30 or so hours without sleep, odd thoughts begin to pop into your head. I found myself wondering... wondering about all kinds of things, strange things... and PEOPLE. I began to reminisce about all the old girlfriends I've had, the colors of thier eyes, the places we went. I also began to think a lot about... oh god, I just nodded off!!! I jolted up, and was awake again. I felt betrayed, there I was almost fully asleep and I blew it. I picked up the remote again and began to surf. First the low number channles, then up. Old sitcoms, news, WWII docementries...then cartoons. I couldn't settle anywhere. Then the informetcial appeared once more... did I do that? I stared at it, and the odd shapes began to dance before me all over again. This time, however, I decided not to resist it. I blinked once to rewet my eyeballs and I was off. The show was AMAZING.... Hues of red and blue, fluttering greens... then a flash of white. Shapes began to form. A globe of blue took off from the set, and hovered just above me. I lay perfectly still, amazed at what was happening. I looked all around me, wittnessing that the room was FULL of colors. All of them unique... and I got the feeling they were WATCHING me. A fire red tenderal reached out to me. Scaired at first I pulled back, out of instinct. The entity stopped, as if it sensed my fear. Then as if to reassure me, it changed to a solf blueish purple hue. I reached my left hand far out to meet it. Further, further... til I could almost FEEL it's pulse. I SEIZED... my eyes popped open. My legs kicked straight out as if I were falling, and I let out a mad gasp. I gave my head a good shake and looked around... nothing. A dream. It was nothing but a dream. I felt dissapointed. Not only was it all just a sleep deprived holusination, but I was now awake again. And I knew....... it would be HOURS before I would see any such rest again.

I once stayed awake for 3 days straight, by that time I was hallucinating during the day. It was funny yet scary at the same time.

Yeah... the typos are there cause I write these off the top of my head. Theres no rough draft, or even pre-determined plot. I just think as I go, typing as fast as I can.
