Every Year I hear this same crap. Parents whining about "I dont wanna lie to my kids about Santa".
Jesus Christ. Can we get any more stupid in this day and age?
Is anyone here undergoing therapy for realizing that there is no Toof Fairy? Anyone scarred by the discovery of no Easter Bunny?
Seriously. What is wrong with people nowadays? God forbid kids have some fun in their childhood.
I wonder how many emotional breakdowns occured when kids realized that animals in Disney movies dont talk in real life.
My parents never told me there was no Santa, I juyst asked one day, when I was like 9. Something about a giant Bunny hopping around the neighborhood and laying eggs when the bunny is a mammal was a bit off for me.
fine, lie to them. they are just children, and as long as they are having fun that is fine
Not all lies are bad. Stupid parents. Do you want your kids to grow up with no imagination?

Nothing wrong with a little white lie.
Lessee... when I was wittle my parent told me: 1) Your stomach growling was the tummy munster from the movie Alien and that if I didn't feed it that it would burst out looking for food. 2) Thunder was God and the angels bowling, a loud one was a strike... 3) My parents actually set the living room up to where it looked like santa messed around with my RC car before he left... Ah, good times... Kids are gullible, parents have fun lying to them and little kids have fun being lied to, let 'em have fun and quit your wussy political correctness! =p

I wouldn't mind lying to my children about Santa. What would Christmas for the children be, if there would be no Santa? Besides, hearing my children say 'Thank you, daddy' instead of 'Thank you Santa', would disappoint me.

Its a rite of passage, when every kid reaches the age where they know Santa isnt real anymore.
The only psychological damage is all the stupid discussions by so called experts about the psychological damages.
IIRC werent they the same people who said you should not spank your kids? See where that got us?
I didn't make it!
Kids deserve the chance to be kids, and Santa is a part of being a kid. I've never known anyone who had been "traumatized" by finding out Santa isn't real, because they know thier parents lied out of love.
I say we should just let the kids have fun. It just adds to the fun of the season when you tell them there's a big fat man in red giving away presents.
