People earn my respect. After a few minutes of conversation, I can usually tell if they've earned it or not. If you do, I've been told I'm exceptionally nice for my age. If you don't...people've called me bad things...which sends them lower down the chain.

Darth Taxi;4605914I usually don't give a shit. You have a respect for me I have a respect for you. Show me disrespect and you will probably have the same thing from me. That's how I take respect and it doesn't matter if you are 13 or 70.

yep same for me :)

I agree with you about respect completely, Aeroflot. Respect with me usually has to be lost though, rather than earned. I'll respect an individual as a human being by default, but of course they can earn more from me. However, respect can just as easily be lost too, like how that lady probably lost yours for trying to force her empty values on you and your mom.

Kudos for speaking out, giving the bitch a piece of your mind and putting her in her place.

I respect my parents a lot, more than I would have for any other. If it comes to others - they'll have to earn it, obviously.
