You know, I found out something interesting lately. My school only serves milk with a normal lunch. Considering I am lactose intolerant, that is quite a problem. Unlike nearly every other public school in my area, they do not carry "Lactaid" milk, basically, milk without lactose.
Yes, they have juice for sale, but you must pay an extra dollar! Also, nearly all of the lunches contain cheese, and many times it cannot be removed (Such as on pizza), with no hypoallergenic alternatives! This quite angers me, and I am thinking of making a HUGE fuss about it.
What if I was a poor child, getting free lunches, and I'm lactose intolerant. Basically, I'm screwed!
I am running for student council, maybe I can help get this changed.
I think Mary Poppins is fit.

Spend a few cents buying yourself some bread, spend a few cents buying yourself some filling and make yourself some sandwiches. Take a bottle of water you filled up with the tap at home.

Water in my town=Nasty.
Water from the fountains at school spurts out of the fountain with so little pressure, you must literally put your lips on the fountain to get any.
And I'm not really talking about myself so much, because I can buy and make sandwich stuff. I was more talking about someone who would not be able to. I'm talking POOR here.
And whether they can make a lunch or not, if they buy it from the school, in my opinion, The school should provide hypoallergenic alternatives.
Don't get school lunch. I stopped buying it a week ago. Now I have time to do my homework during lunch.
You could just bring your own juice or milk to school -- It would probably be cheaper.
