i for one have been effected by a school shooting.

my friend attended Seven lakes high school, he was a cool guy, was nice new alot of stuff, before the incident i guess what happened was he had "changed" he seemed to have no care for life anymore and blew everything of.

My friend loved a girl, who did not love him back, she meant the world to him, she didn't care.

then one day my friend Micheal Priest took a turn for the worst he contacted the girl "victoria"

this is what he told her on voice message to her answering machine.

"before i go, i may as well tell you my "plan" I will hide behind a soda machine and pull the pistol out, Watch the news if you want. i am sure this will spread around so even if you don't watch the news you wills till here about it. I think that is everything i have to say to you. if you have anything to say you can message my phone. but it will probably be to late, all this will happen around 12:50 - 1:20 your time."

so as stated Micheal took his glock to school, the original plan was to commit suicide with another student, only Micheal went threw with it.

Thankfully i can answer "No" to all those.

My school was very small (about 500 kids in the whole school) so i don't think something like that is very likely to happen there.

I feel sorry for anybody who is affected by school shootings.

my opinions on school shootings?!? are you joking! (not to be mean) they are bad. families a hurt friends are lost. it throws a community into chaos. there is no other explanation then that. No i was never in a school shooting and i hope i never will be. school shooting have effected me mentally because it makes me think about how these people suffered and no one seemed to really care. and i've said this plenty of times. increase security in schools so guns and knives are kept out. and as for the story about your friend. i think i was about to cry and the vid also threw me off the edge.

The question is not so much "why do they happen?", because we know; mentally unstable young people, guns, stress, bullying, but "why do the overwhelmingly happen in America?".

All the ingredients exist in other countries, but there are only a handful of school shootings that have occurred outside the States.

Maybe because its easier to get a hold of a gun here?

Perhaps. But even then, the number of all attacks are much higher in the US. But as gun-pundits will gladly tell you, there's plenty of guns in the rest of the world too, in countries like Canada or Switzerland.
