hey guys. i no that making a new ship is far from just slapping some parts 2gether, but could u tell me where 2 get the programs for doing that? ive asked around, and they really couldnt help much, and ive got a wierd ship in mind. dont worry, if its really crappy (which it probly will b for the first time around hahaha) i wont submit it 2 bcfiles.com. ny help would b appreciated. thanx.

First off you need a modeling program, such as 3D Studio Max, (Which is very expensive) or GMAX which is a free download, you need to use this to make your model
Then it needs to be textured, and exported to the correct nif version. How to do this depends on what you modeled the ship in.
After that you need to Create a hardpoint file for the ship, and of cause the other required ship files.
Hopefully after all that your ship should be ready to release. But it will take a long time to get that far.

hey ive just downloaded gmax, i have tried to open one of the totaly games models from this site, but gmax wont let me, the ships are in .3ds format i think, can someone please tell me what i am doing wrong???
you import the file, once you get your head around it, that much is easy the rest gets hard
