"Adrian Ţepeş"Store managers rarely listen to the opinions of low-level employees.  And why should they?  They've been in the business for 20+ years so why listen to some young whippersnapper?   At least that's how they seem to look at things >_>

Do you think that WallMart listens to store managers? It's a monolithic organisation, the same as virtually every other retail company. They have no more power over corporate policy than the shelf stacker does.

More importantly, the customer doesn't care. They know as well as I do that nothing will change. They just want to vent.

Not quite. Often they'll be angling to get something free to shut them up, like a discount or free item, or money off a bill.

Not quite. Often they'll be angling to get something free to shut them up, like a discount or free item, or money off a bill.

Or a plumber/sparky/gas engineer in our case.
