you must have never fired an M249. They both have about the same rate of fire. around 800 rounds/min. An M4 will have bullet dispersion that is FAR wider than an M249's because of the increased recoil due to the lightness of the weapon rather then the RoF. Ive seen guys use the SAW as a shoulder fired CQB weapon because of its ease of use (especially with a 3 point tac sling to manage its weight). Believe it or not its actually a fairly balanced weapon.

What i mean by 'one handed' was that the recoil of an M4 is such that if held in one and engaging point targets out to 50 yards youd probably be just as accurate on target provided you had an optical accessory i.e EOtech and the like.

would love to see someone fire an M14, FAL or G3 one handed though.

I know almost nothing about guns. They don't really interest me, but how feasible is firing two .45 1911s at once?

bud389;4908033Propoganda or not, you gotta admit, that's pretty fuckin badass.
Oh I agree, but it was funny as hell.

Kinda like the entire ahhnuld movie "Commando".
But, an M249 does have more recoil because of it's faster ROF, and with it being significantly heavier it would be harder to steady/move

You can carry a SAW with a 3 point. Its a bit weighty but ive heard of it being done by people who went to Iraq.

NiteStryker;4908017Thar reminds me of a ww2 prooganda john wayne movie I saw, where a small mg42 emplacement kills his buddy, so john runs over, punches the 3 germans and they dont get back up, he picks up the mg42 and fires from the hip and hits like 100 oncomming germans.

You mean the one where instead of John wayne, it's Audie Murphy? God, that man kicked ass.

Once you've got exo-skeletons doing this will be a feasible combat maneuver. =p

Actually the M4 fire 750 - 900 rounds a minute while the M249 fires roughly 800 - 1,000 rounds a minute, so their is some faster ROF going on their. And were talking about DUAL m249's, each in one hand, you saw from the video it took the guys body weight to push into it and not fall back, so their's gotta be some pretty heavy force behind it.

I've never fired it personnely, but from what i've read, it's got moderate recoil, think of firing a .357 with a little more kick.

I fired a .357 revolver a few times, don't remember how bad the kickback was.
