It's not that I don't have a heart or anything, but that clip makes it look like we purposely target civilians. It also makes it look like all the civilians in Iraq don't want us there. In short, it is anti-war propoganda. Don't get me wrong though, I do care that civilians die, and I do think it is very sad. However, in war, some civilian casualities are inevitable.

A michael moore in the making

Because the other clips made it look like we never hit them.

Oh we know we hit them, but please don't make it out to be as if it was on purpose. It sucks when innocent people get in the way and that is not cool. What is cool is to see the bad ones get smoked. Nothing more gratifying to me than seeing a terrorist die.

I don't remember anyone saying at any point it was intentional. The point is that finding techology that KILLS people, and seeing it kill potential civilians like that, is wrong. You are all just so blissfully unaware of how it feels to be there, to be caught up in that bombing, so you can just go "It wasnt intentional" and that makes it okay to sit in awe at your little firepower? No...

Why is it that when someone goes to war, its ok that civilians die, but when its nothing to do with them, its not right. Civilians do die in war...thats what makes war wrong in the context it was used in Iraq, war should be only a last resort when you are attacked. Iraq never had anything to do with 9/11 and yet thats what a large proportion of the American public seem to think was the reason for the war. Whats more, the way in which the 'coalition' conducted the war was terrible. If they wanted a war, they got it, deploy troops to minimise civilian casualties..on no but wait that would make bad press for the American or 'coalition' governments, no lets bomb the bejaysus out of anywhere they suspect there are Iraqi army personal posted. Even if there was 100% confirmation that enemy troops are located in an area, what about the civilians around them?

The American government wanted a war, but not the bad press, one of the only news stations I saw that reported the real story of what went on in Iraq was Al-Jazeera. Everything else showed the war in rose tinted glasses. Long live the free press.

Seeing someone die shouldn't be associated with any positive feelings IMO, but as some people always have enjoyed executions, it really isn't fair to expect that. (But I still do. :)) However bad someone is, you still should try to keep your feelings normal and stay over the level of that evil individual. Watching weapons showed in action is kind of cool, but watching the victims isn't, be their evil or not. Their destruction might be necessary for you to survive, but it is NOT supposed to be satisfying! The step from getting satisfaction from it isn't too long to killing others, just to meet an urge. Multiple murders quite commonly get satisfaction from killing, and being a murderer is something to avoid. Now, do you get the picture? (I've noticed you sometimes make yourself such a nice target, Beef, is it on purpose?)

This topic would BTW be perfect for another attack on American aggressions... :uhm:

The video I posted was to show off military technology and has nothing to do with civilian casualties. In the video, it's obvious that the U.S. military are attacking insurgents also.

You make up your mind. Watch it again.

Well, most of that was in the Fareigheight (how the hell do you spell that?) 911 movie...

No offense, but you show exactly the kind of behaviour a totalitarian government expects from it's citizens. Sure, those people commit crimes, but if you stop considering them as humans and enjoy their death you are not much better than they are.

Nah. If you want to consider those scumbags as humans, by all means go ahead. Nothing more I would love to see is those scums who sawed the heads off them people die a slow death as I watch eating popcorn. I'd even throw some salted butter in their cuts.
