Crazy WolfRock doesn't seem to be that good for dancing/"grinding"/shaking it, rock is best for rocking oot.

Exactly.

You don't go to a prom to rock out, you go to slow dance and get it on.

Unless you are a nigel, with no friends and have zero chance of hooking up. In that case, I guess you'd want to rock out. But alas, Prom's must cater for the majority!!!

Secondly, SilentScythe, you are on your way to becoming a racist, even if you don't think you are. Throwing catch phrases around like 'white people not dancing to THEIR OWN music' is a symptom of racism. Enjoy the Rap/RnB and Hip Hop music, it's what pulls the chicks.

SilentScytheCan anyone here tell me why, at my prom yesterday when there was hip-hop r&b, rap, and other 'black music' on about 60% of the people dacing were white and the dance floor was beyond crowded, but when the rock music came on, there where less than 15 people up there? What is it with white people not danicing their own music but other people's instead?

Because rap, hip-hop and r&b is the new age of music and the most popular on most TV and radio. And like said before it's easier to dance to.

We always dance on a completely different ritm, with a completely different style when they play R&B. Yes, we look like idiots, but we have fun it works most of the time.

Uh... huh...

I have an even better rule for you to use. Nobody can dance to any music that they didn't write and perform themselves! It's a bit more extreme perhaps, but it doesn't sound quite so ignorant or racist.

Proms :vikki:. Our school tried to host a dance every year in a similar style, but the only people who went to it were considered lame. The rest of us went to much more entertaining events organised by the students themselves. Only in America would it be considered 'cool' to take your girlfriend on a date to your school!

FileTrekkerYou're a racist?

What I always wonderd is why people have to ask this question? So what if he is? I mean, he has the right to his own opinions without having them questioned. And isn't it quite obvious in his posts that he are for "seperation" beteween races. Nothing wrong with that. In this part of the world it is considerd fairly normal that blacks are with blacks and whites are with whites.

SilentHitzUntrue to ones self? Geeze man, do you know where rock and roll got it's roots? Elvis, Little Richard, Chuck berry were all heavily influenced by the R&B style of the bars that catered to blacks in the south! Rock and roll wasn't invented by white folks bro'. I don't give a rat's behind for rap either, if others like it ok with me. No matter what color the artist are, if I like the music, I'll buy it, if it sux I don't. What if oriental americans had to dance only to oriental music...you heard that crap?? LOL I couldn't dance to it...hurts myb ears just listening to it!

Agreed upon for the first part, no race "owns" a type of music or should or should not dance on it. For the second part, it's all about taste. :p

As far as the question on people leaving the dance floor when cetain types of music are played, it comes down to the people there (their musical intrests) the people they are with and the reason they are there. If you came to totally rock yourself out you probably won't dance to R&B or hiphop, if you came for the latter you probably won't rock out etc.

And by that logic then, I also have the rights to 1) ask if he is 2) think little of him if he is.

The whole argument is flawed though considering that nobody has a right to be racist in public, including this forum.

See, this is where it makes a whole big mess of things if you try and throw freedom of though and freedom of speech into the picture.

It just doesnt work. People shouldnt be racist, be we cant stop them, all society can do is say "naughty naughty".
