Forum rules beg to differ.
As far as I can see, saying white people shouldn't dance to music created by black artists is racist. That's wrong to me and that's why I asked.

that's why we should all listen to JAZZ!!!!!!!!!!! The all american music! (which has also spread all aver the world):flag:
Mr. Matt Proms :vikki:. Our school tried to host a dance every year in a similar style, but the only people who went to it were considered lame. The rest of us went to much more entertaining events organised by the students themselves. Only in America would it be considered 'cool' to take your girlfriend on a date to your school!
Awww Just say it Matt you couldn't find a date/ LOL
It's only "cool" when your date is good looking and you get some leg at the end of the night. Because if you can't get laid on prom night that makes you lame and the whole night was a waste of time and money. :lolpoint:

It's never cool to go to a school-hosted function. Ever. Except for in America, apparently. 'Proms' (usually just called 'balls' or 'dances', what with 'prom' being an inane word) outside of the States are not the cultural phenomenon they are in the States. Doesn't matter whether you've got a hot date or a cold turkey, you go elsewhere or you're lame. All-night parties with no rules, loud music, lots of alcohol and no... you know, school or teachers, are where it's at. Dolling up like a penguin and soberly dancing under the watchful eye of Mr. Headteacher has nothing on them. From what I've read of the posts around this forum, they actually have police there now, for crying out loud. Way to rebel against the man, man!
Now you are talking afterprom activities Matt. We did that too ;) You gotta butter the females up somehow Matt, cmon you know this. Women are like lawnmowers they need to be primered up before starting.

That's lovely, Beef. Almost poetic, in an over-compensating kind of way.
rap has become the new pop. from a money perspective, rap is highly profitable and marketable, think about it. for example, record companies dont necesarily sign up rap artists but rap labels that encompass many artists , making contracs cheaper and therefore more incentive to push this type of music . think of 99% of current rap videos, there is usually 5 or 6 different artist on the video , the music is also very generic most of the writing being about the stablished formula of , check out my; bling, chicks, cars, etc. i still keep it real and i thank you for making this possible. i find this style of music very transparent so the oly rap i listen to was mostly made prior to 1995, lots of NWA and Digital Underground.

We've got a Jazz festival in the city of Amersfoort soon. I'm not really into it, but there's always a good time :beer:
The world be a better place if everyone listened to jazz.
GamingUpdate Secondly, SilentScythe, you are on your way to becoming a racist, even if you don't think you are. Throwing catch phrases around like 'white people not dancing to THEIR OWN music' is a symptom of racism.
I realized that going into starting this thread and at first decided not to do it, but later changed my mind to see people's responses.
I had some reasons for starting this thread but have realized they're all stupid. Therefore i request that a moderator close this thread.
