So, if you used Megaupload to send mods to us via server2server, even though S2S doesn't work anymore, then you'll have to find something else to use. :bawl:
Looks like the blackout helped.
Not sure this had anything to do with SOPA...

I'd be surprised if it didn't. For this to happen to Megaupload, at the same time where SOPA is reaching it's most sensitive point, is just too coincidental to me.
Seems like our friends at Anonymous made a move in revenge for MegaUpload =p

How exactly did they decide that it had caused $500m in damages? That's absolute bollocks, there's no solid way of quantifying something like that, it's purely theoretical.
It was the FBI, it had nothing to do with SOPA.
So you suppose SOPA has it's own police force that will run down to wherever they're hosting those 'ilegal' sites and shut 'em down and arrest the 'criminals'?
Besides, this all is coming from the country with one of the most corrupt and backstabing government there is (No offence to the citizens of the US)... Not weird the FBI would be involved.

It's not - I've downloaded many movies/songs from Megaupload, if you multiply me by a lot of people, $500m doesn't seem like an unfair estimate.
To be honest I'm surprised this is only happening now...

Acting on a SOPA claim from someone else...maybe.
