How to add my new torpedo??? I followed all instructions but it didn't work....i can only overwrite existing ones and sometimes also this is useless... Sovereign HP file

the name of my torpedo is Transphasic.py

Change it to :

Torpedoes.SetMaxTorpedoes(0, 240) Torpedoes.SetTorpedoScript(0, "Tactical.Projectiles.Transphasic") Torpedoes.SetMaxTorpedoes(1, 240) Torpedoes.SetTorpedoScript(1, "Tactical.Projectiles.SovQuantum") Torpedoes.SetMaxTorpedoes(2, 0) Torpedoes.SetTorpedoScript(2, "Tactical.Projectiles.PhasedPlasma") Torpedoes.SetNumAmmoTypes(3)

You can replace any torp you want, just change the name!:)

you got it right just maybe you set the ammount of torpedoes a lil to high i'd suggest lowering one or the other by a lil n see if it will work also the torp name must be the same spelling as the ones in scripts/tactical/projectiles or it won't work hope this helps

heres the new file with nothing overwritten. to install it open it then click file save as and overwrite your sovereign.py file in your harpoints folder note you may have to change the file type to "all files" to make py files appear in the save dialouge box just placing the included file will not work because i have saved it as a txt document because i cant save files as .py

Tnx for your time idontknow but u made the same changes i already made...i changed the file to.py....removed the old .py and the .pyc as well...but i didn't worked... :( :( :( :( :(

thats bcuz i could only save itr as a txt not a py file.put the old py file back in the hardpoints foldeer and open the txt included in my last post.DONT just place it in the hp folder you have to click file save as go to your hardpoints folder change the file type to all files and look for the sovereign.py cfile when asked to overwrite click yes. if that doesnt work post the actual py file as an attachment here. this will make it much easier for me to do as i can save it as a py file instead of a txt

basicaly what idontknow is talking about just copy the text from that text file and copy it into the .py also why did you change the extention?i bet that could be it I'll Include The Torpoedo Script from a Galaxy and you look over it

look at this and try to compare it or copy it(it's from Rick Knoxes Newest Galaxy Class that overwrites the stock galaxy if you needed to know) also are you trying to mod the stock ships?if so that could be the problem
