Well, i haven't really been in any major hurricanes, actually i have been near them, but never really gotten any damage. It was earlier in 2004, when Hurricane Frances came along. We knew it would hit us, but we didn't know how much rain we would get. Frances was the size of iowa pretty much, moving at 5 mph and dumping floods of rain on us. We went and got the storm supplies, flashlight, canned food, water, etc. However, we rarely used it. I remember the night before having the wind howling outside my window, i just hoped the stupid storm would pass by the time i woke up the next morning, really it was not that bad of a storm, the only damage we got was that our screen got ripped in a section, but really it wasn't a storm...not the one we were expecting at least.

Tampa, but a little north of it...The actual downtown part was flooded and they had people using skee-doos to drive around on a major street...that was hilarious.

OH! Wait and I tell you my story!

It once rained for 2 days straight. Then it stoped. No floods, but just enough rain to annoy everyone.

As you can see, I've had zero experience with storms.

There was a day back in my junior HS year when it was first rainy, then windy and soon we were being bombarded by a full-blown rain/windstorm with winds of more than 100mph. Nobody was prepared for it, as it came and went with either several minutes or a few hours, I don't remember. But numerous trees were uprooted by some apartments near the clinic where my dad's office is.

And, as you might expect, school was let out very early that day. I heard that it was an unusual downdraft, and it was probably one of the only storms I've ever been caught in.

Yeah for me it was Francis and It completely blew my screen near my pool out. The sound scared the crap out of me but ya know, It's all borded up now. Other than that we lost power for about 2 1/2 days. While I lived on cold pizza.

Last week during spring break it got windy/stormy out, And a biga$$ tree went down behind our house.Which means I got to be a lumberJack for a few days. The trunk was about 4ft+/- thick.(So much for my Spring Break) Before and after cutting pics. \/
