Have you ever bought a DVD before that worked most of the film then started glitching real bad ? I have had this happen a few times now, I clean the DVD , DVD player move it to balanced surfaces. The DVD messes up at certain parts...usually important !:mad::mad::mad: No scratches on the damn thing or finger prints...Some DVDS are just really badly made. So I put it into the PC and the thing wont even load ....in a program to play DVDS

I always thought DVD technology would be a great thing but some of these DVDS are so half assed. I much rather watch VHS ...

Sounds absurd but perhaps you have bought a horrible DVD before ? Anyone ever experience this?

This isn't very Entertainment forum-related, so I'm going to place it in general discussion.

:moved: to General Discussion Reason: Not really Entertainment Forum-related.

I don't really know the details, but some DVDs have region codes that allow you to play it in only certain locations. Are you sure that might not be the problem?

That's not what he's talking about. Region coding makes it so you just can't watch it, he's talking about the DVD freezing or stuttering, an annoyance I share.

It's happened to me before, but not that bad. I would imagine it would be your DVD player. Generally with me, DVDs don't mess up much unless they're very beat up. DVD players are really cheap now, you should try a new one maybe.

The only time this has happened to me was when I got a portable DVD player for Christmas a year or two ago. Everytime I put a disk in it, it would freeze up after a few minutes. Turns out the stupid DVD player was scratching all the disks. It really pissed me off cause we were going on a two and a half hour drive to my grandma's house and now I had nothing to do.

I usually don't buy DVDs. I either go to the movies, or I .. obtain them in some other way.
