My friend paid 20$ to a gypsie which he believe that told him his future because he managed to guess his past... Personaly I am not superstitious nor do I believe in horoscopes or fortune telling... I think this exists to rip money off people who believes any useless lies... post any thoughts, suggestions, ideas, or even complaints here...
People believe it because they shape their future based on what was told to them; and it happens.
They also like to think they know whats going on. It makes them feel special and secure, for a price.
not really, sometimes what they predict becomes true.
Like I said, they make it come true.
Yeah they make it true because they "know" its going to happen so their actions meet the prediction... but can potentially help desperate people... who knows... IF they can pay it... man being a gipsy must earn you a lot of cash! but personaly i think they are just a bunch of scamers...
well, this is a toughy isnt it? humans seem to have a spiritual need to have guidance. way back in ancient times, a spiritual adviser wasnt strange to have at all, many cultures revered them. it is only in our age of technology, have we begun to forget the mystic side of ourselves. many people will try to take advantage of the weak. that is human nature. whether they are weak in body, or weak in mind, still they are preyed upon by these scoundrals. even intelligent people, who are just desperate to believe. in todays day and age, there are not many true mytics left in the world. so i will be willing to bet your friend was scammed. a sure fire way to tell, is when they say entertainment only. there are special training classes you can take to "fake" one of these readings, and i think it is sad.
i think people need a little magic in their lives. it is a shame that there is no longer room for magic in this modern world.
THAT WAS ABSOLUTLY CORRECT!
modern society kills belief... nowadays "SEEING IS BELIEVING"
but some people still needs to rely on more abstract sources... Every religion came by the coming of a profet...
wether true or fake religions are they always guided people into properity but some others into war... EX: middle east...
Well I do believe in a spiritual realm, and I believe that people can make contact with supernatural forces...but I really dunno cuz my mom saw a fortune teller once, and she said she'd die at 30...she's 52 now.
well, divinaton was only meant to be a guide, not a specific list of events, like todays fortune tellers tell it. no one can tell you how to live your own life. but fortune telling, done correctly, was just meant to give you a nudge in the direction you were supposed to go. ;)
