TsoufelianMy friend paid 20$ to a gypsie which he believe that told him his future because he managed to guess his past...
Your friend was robbed clean, I kid you not. :0wned:
People seek fortune tellers for the same reasons that they turn to religion. It gives them comfort from the unknown which they are afraid of because they are either not intelligent/wise enough to think for themselves, or they are too lazy. Fear and the need to be reassured are the chief factors in these ordeals.
None of this stuff is true. All made-up shit.
:agreed A man with common sense we have here.
Just a quick way to prey on people's insecurities and make a quick dollar.

From that perspective and in that context, I must whole-heartedly agree. People who fall victim to these pitiful desires deserve their ensuing loss(es).

I believe in them. One time, this gypsy said that I was going to spend a short spell in jail. And what do you know? The very same night I was arrested for punching the gypsy for ripping me off*.
*For the more gullible people out there, those who probably believe fortune tellers in fact, this is not true.
They never caught me
Had I been the sheriff, I would have likely arrested the gypsy instead of you.
In the middle ages the church controled everthing... hospitals, Education, Scientific research and economic growth... They used uneducated people to bribe them for heaven... I mean at that time... offerings to the church was means to allow yourself to heaven and rich dukes and nobles even Bought a really expensive grave under their bench in the church... The church used this weakness "to beleive" and took the peoples money because they were afraid to go to hell... that fear was the prime factor the church used to control people... (exactly like Bush with BinLadden) Nowadays the church is free and offerings go to poor people as charity... Technology and education made our society less believers... because we question religion without fearing about going to hell anymore...

I... uh... OK. That's an interesting way of looking at it, if random.
