At the time of this post I'm finishing up a rather nice brew of Tazo Calm tea. It's essentially:

chamomile blossoms, hibiscus flowers, spearmint leaves, rose petals, blackberry leaves, peppermint leaves, safflower, lemon balm, lemon grass and natural flavorings.

Has a smooth taste and is good for the nose. And it does indeed have a calming effect on the senses. I'm going to try another cup tonight to see if it helps me sleep better.

So anyway, what kind(s) of tea do you enjoy?

oh boy. Tea Tea...well Sweet Peach Tea I make it (this is ice tea BTW) it says to use 1 piece ginger but I've gone to 1/2 ginger as the 1 ginger was overpowering.

Country Peach Passion Herb Tea for me this is beyond relaxing..it's quite good.

Mmm, I'll have to try those. I personally will drink a cup of Earl Grey any day of the week.

Usually green (when made right, it's delicate!), I love blackberry mojito, and chamomile mint blends, peppermint if I'm under the weather, market spice if I'm tired. I may need to try that calm one, it sounds delicious!

It is indeed. The spearmint gives the right amount of menthol without being overwhelming, and the sarsaparilla flavor is very subtle, but somewhere in the middle of the sip you can just barely taste it. Other than that, it goes down easy with easing effects ^_^

I only drink water or milk when I'm not drinking alcohol. I never 'got' tea. I'll sometimes have coffee in the morning, but that's for it's stimulating effect more than its taste.

Thanks for supporting my employer, and therefore inadvertently giving me money:naughty:

When it comes to hot beverages, I am really more of a coffee guy, with that being said I do very much enjoy cold green teas.

I drink a lot of black tea. Either Earl Grey or a cheap Assam from the supermarket. Today I drank a "Bombay" black tea from a shop called "East India Company", which seems to be a London-based shop for tourists who don't know or don't care about the history of the real EIC. Good tea though.

Recently I heard about a company that figured out a way to sell high quality tea for a relatively low price by cutting out the middle-men. I'll probably have to give that one a try.

IME, it tends to be a somewhat calmer pick me up than coffee. If I have more than one mug of coffee, or if I'm in a bad mood when I have it, I get really twitchy and become quite short with people. Which doesn't seem to happen as much with tea.
