Wow that is some cool stuff. Imagen playing games in that sort of style, you wound need a room to walk around in your virtual games. It probably would cost a lot of € and time but it would offer a totally new gaming/computer experience.
As the clip- said it would first be used for proffesional use though but you can not denie the oppertunities of this in the entertainment business.
Looks pretty cool, and as Donitz said, first to be professional use. Though, look at the internet. That was first used for Military operations and such like, though is now worldwide for all and every user.
it wont take long untill there are amusement halls which offer realtime games in such a fasion, an example could be "Battlefield 3D: Experiance it!", or perhaps a realtime Splinter Cell game. the profits for something like that would be too high to just ignore it.

w00t, BF 3D! tanks roaring, fighters comming over! good idea, lets invest and make the GF-3D-gaming hall, we gonna be rich
There is one forseeable problem with this. If they are to make these type of 'real' games, then at some point, someone is going to make some stupid fail safe error which will end up getting you killed in a game.
I've send this video around in my class and the talk was amazing :p (it was posted first in the spam forums ;))..
You know what the possibilities would be and all :p .. made me giggle
