Is anyone going to be taking the SAT II? I am a little worried about it. The test is going to have a writing section, as well as 'advanced' math. Some parts of the English section are removed; thats good.
I'm testing in March, after a long prep course. I'll be going to use Kaplan's course. The class will meet every Saturday and Sunday until the March test.
I don't remember if the old SAT had special subject sections. (German, Biology, Physics etc.) But the new test has several 'add-ons'. I'm thinking about World History, Physics, and maybe German.
I'm not so good at Math, so I'm going to try and keep away from it. Even though Physics is a math subject, its a little different from geometry and algebra II. I think of Physics as half thinking with real situations - half filling in formulas.
i might take it next year, tell me how it is
Ill have to take it during my junior year (Sophomore year currently) I *did* however take the SAT 1 and got something close to 1400 on it. Im not quite sure about this new one though...
my brother's giving sat II. he gave sat I and got exactly 1400 in it.

You're brother's smart! I'm taking the SAT's next month I think as part of a John Hopkins program. I got lucky that I dont have to take the SAT II's.
I hate writing.
And I think you might be a bit confused... Are you talking about the new SAT or the SAT II? The new SAT is just amodified test with a writing section, while the SAT II's are tests for specific subjects, like Spanish or Physics or stuff like that. The regular SAT isn't bad, but I don't know about the SAT II's...
Woooo! I got a 700 on English SATII found out 2day
Ok your talking about the old SAT vs. the new SAT as well as the SATII. New SAT has the essay part (haha suckers have fun with that) the SATII's are the specific subject tests.
btw, you dont have to take SATII but a lot of colleges like to see you take it or some require it even
Hmm. My school calls the "New SAT" the "SAT II". I never even heard of the "New SAT" until now.

:sitonit: I really, really hate writing. But for my class, most colleges will take either/or, and I got a 1490 on the last one, so I should be okay, I guess...
