It’d be interesting to see a time lapse of human development on a large scale. Covering a viewpoint similar to these photos. A time lapse to end all time lapses. A century of data compressed into a short film. Would be cool I think.

Well, here's something along those lines, it's the development of Las Vegas from 1972 to now, captured by NASA using satellites.

It truly is fascinating to think just how much those above landscapes have changed in ten (or a few more) years. You've got to admire our species, at least as far as our engineering and development of structures go.

One does stop and wonder though, after watching that video, how we spread like a virus. Just makes you wonder how different we really are from the rest of nature.

We'll probably nuke ourselves by then.

That's crazy stuff. Who'd want to live (rather sleep) in a box.

People in an overpopulated city needing a cheap hotel, apparently. :p

Being claustrophobic I'd never do it, but it does make sense on some levels.

Fair point. =p Still, not something I'd consider, but then I wouldn't really choose to visit an over-populated city. :uhm:

I'd do it, you have a little night stand and a tv in there. Only downside is the communal bathrooms.

As for the century time lapse, all someone has to do is take the initiative.
