Is it possible to have your ship self destruct for example in 10 seconds. This would make the transporter option in QBR 2.14 much more useful. I had the thought that it might be possible when I looked under the XO folder in sfx\bridge\crew folder. There are files there that has Saffi activating & de-activating self destruct as well as her counting down from 10 for self destruct. This is the saffi activating self destruct.

i think someone is working on a script file to make this work ingame. There is a thread about it swomwhere on these forums. i think its in the general or modding forums

It was probably something that was intended to happen, but when the game was released, it was already behind schedual, and was just sort of debugged (Hah) and sent out..They just kinda' sealed loose ends and dropped it. As it is now, all the self destruct does is deplete your hull HP..and that's it, seriously. Lol. I've set the hull up as non critical before, and tried self destruct, and all it did was deplete the hull rating, and nothing else. So..yeah.

Well id like to see a proper self destruct mod soon. saffi: Computer activate self-destruct bla bla bla... Computer: Authorazation confirmed. self destruct in 10 seconds 9 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 1 explosion: BOOOM!!!


Saffi: computer terminate self_destruct bla bla ...... computer: self destruct sequence cancelled.
