It's easier to time travel than to learn Imperial. Got it.

It's as Nem said, you do have to drill it to get good at it.  Over here in the states it's taught well before metric is ever even considered.  You pretty much never hear of meters until you get to...I think...5th-grade general science?  I mean, most items that have their dimensions specified have both, as you've probably seen with computer cases or ethernet cable.

Though it is kind of annoying because you've spent so many years learning one method of measurement only to have to learn to convert those units once you get into chemistry.

I was not aware America taught Metric at all. I thought they were imperial-ONLY, because America.

Yeah, even my creationist "science" textbook during homeschool introduced the metric system.

Creationist science? That is an oxymoron in every sense of the words. The entire point of religion is to keep people from learning the real science behind everything.

Hey, I put science in quotation marks :p

The sad thing is, the guy who wrote the books has a Ph.D in nuclear chemistry and there was actual science in the books, but then he'd inject some bullshit interpretation of the Origin of Species and basically tried to discredit Darwin's research.

I swear I will never understand people like that. He has a Ph.D in science, so he is obviously knows the stuff. But yet, he is trying to say his education is a bunch of fairy tales?

Science is not a unified body and expertise in one area does not mean expertise in another
