I watched this video and thought it would be a good watch (it's only 6 minutes) for some of you here on GF (especially Jefferson). Posted in the pub because if there is to be a discussion about our great nations (US & Canada) I'd like them to be mature and civil. Don't make me get Mr. Fancypants after you!

Anyway there are a few good facts in this video that I bet a lot of people didn't know (including myself). Enjoy:

There are some interesting facts in that video, I would never have though that 90% of all Canadian citizens live within 100 miles of the US Border...

I've been to Canada several times and it is a great place. The people are nice (despite what South Park may say =p), the country is absolutely gorgeous (if you ever get a chance to drive the Canadian Rockies, specifically Banff-Jasper National Parks, DO IT) and the culture is awesome.

Speaking of culture, Canada is the first place I was ever exposed to a pornographic magazine. Was in a store and someone had opened a porn mag and hidden it in a hunting/fishing type magazine. I was about 8-9 at the time and really had no idea what I was looking at but I remember it to this day. Go Canada!!

While I probably would never move there for any extended period of time I've enjoyed all the times I've been to Canada, but I kinda wish they would take Celine Dion back

If there is no image, Mikey broke something...

We don't want her back. It was one of 'those' gifts to you, America. ;) (kind of like a fruit cake)

I would like to storm chase in Canada.

In fact, I thought I would have to go into Canada in '09 to catch some storms.

I've never harbored any ill will towards Canada and I doubt most Americans really do. I consider our neighbors to the north more like brothers, we pick on and talk crap about one another but when the chips are down we'll always have each others backs.

But, your milk comes in bags.

We have the jugs and cartons too. The bags are pretty handy though and you only open one at a time (comes in three bags) which leaves two fresh, closed bags on the waiting. You know, instead of one open jug or carton. ;)

Interesting video. And those shots of Canadian landscapes at the beginning make me want to move there immediately. Not sure if I would like Canadian winters too much though.

I really like Canada. I've only been there once for a bout a week and a half, but I had a brilliant time. It's definitely on my "great places to live" list along with Alaska, Spain and France.

You get use to the winter it's not that bad...Ontario is pretty decent for snow...

Despite being just across a river from Canada I don't go there very often. Didn't even go get smashed on my 19th birthday or anything. But I've always thought of Canadians and Americans as brothers of sort. The only other nation that comes even close to the relationship we have with Canada is Great Britain.

I suppose it goes to show that if you want to be allies you should probably burn each others cities a few times and generally hate each other for the better part of a century.
